When Money Failed

Beloved,

We bless God His mercies.  It has been a long time (June 25) when I last posted a blog.  A lot has happened since. The biblical phrase "And it came to pass....." is an eternal truth, for as long as we are 'in time' things come to pass.  I believe, eternity will lead us to another experience in God.

One thing that was spoken of in June that has come to pass in October is the CSR - Comprehensive Spending Review. Extracts from Telegraph of 22 Oct 2010 reads:
"The deepest public spending cuts in living memory were announced this week and the world did not end. On Wednesday, George Osborne announced a Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) that could abolish the jobs of half a million Britons working in the public sector. By the close of the day, polls showed that his review was supported by a majority of the population, albeit a slender one. That is no mean achievement. The cuts will provoke real anguish in parts of society, especially for families trapped in welfare dependency, together with plenty of simulated outrage. But – despite one or two serious misjudgments, notably over child benefit – many influential commentators feel that they have been sensibly distributed according to a reasonable timetable. Given the unpredictability of the global economy, any deficit-reduction strategy is a gamble. Whether it pays off in the form of economic growth remains to be seen; but the Coalition appears to have placed its bets wisely.

Now it must improve the odds in favour of growth. Governments cannot grow economies as if they were tomato plants (though it took decades of bungled experiments for this truth to sink in). What they can do – sometimes – is create the conditions for prosperity. With the first stage of the CSR behind it, the Coalition wants to move from a narrative of austerity to a narrative of growth."

Beloved, the plan of God for us is that we look beyond the government for our survival! We must improve the odds in favour of our growth.  We need to pray like David in Psalm 119:144 "The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding that I may live."

God's testimonies are eternal.  When money failed in Egypt (Gen 47:15) God had a solution, when there was only two loaves and fishes from a young boy to feed 5000 men (not counting women and children) in John 6, the Bible said , Jesus knew what He would do. I believe He knows what to do about the times we are in.

The enemy will suggest that many do not need God but please, do not be deceived. God is more than able.
He is Our Father - Our Source. His word will never fail and He will lead us through. He daily loads us with benefits. On a practical level, we all need to go on with a continuous comprehensive spending review and at the same time open our hearts for opportunities for growth.  Do not forget to thank God for the two loaves and five fishes.

God bless

"Our Sufficiency is of God"

Beloved,

It has been quite some time since I posted a blog in spite of many thoughts, ideas, inspirations and songs that have been running through my mind.  I thank God for this opportunity and pray that whenever you are able to access it, it will remain fresh and true in Jesus' name.

The months of March - June 2010 have been a period of God stretching my faith, brightening my hope and strengthening my love for Him and the Body of Christ that He envisions. With my mother ceasing from labour on this side of eternity and called up to glory on Monday March 15th (just a few days to her 74th birthday), I have had to stop and take stock of what is really important to me in life.  By human standards, my brothers and I are now 'technical orphans'.  But before the thought of pity settles down in your mind, we are now 'God's own' - When my father or mother forsakes me (by death or neglect), then the Lord will pick me up!  Have you read that in His word?  He is faithful!

We thank God for answers to prayers.  We appreciate everyone that God used to minister comfort and provision to us.  May God reward your faithfulness in Jesus' name. Amen.

In 2 Corinthians 3: 5, Paul was appraising His spiritual standing and his right to serve and lead the body of Christ.  He concluded that he was not suffient of himself but 'his sufficiency is of God' The All Sufficient One.
I pray that you will find your root of sufficiency in God for all things and at all times in Jesus' name.

Psalm 1 - sets the scene as David typifies the life of a man who sits, stands and walk (daily living) NOT in the counsel of the ungodly or in the company of scornful like a tree 'planted by the river'.  Jesus Christ is the life giving River!  As the world continues to go through a period of shaking, be 'planted to flourish' in God.

Here are some of the things that have been written, announced or anticipated for the future:

a) Public spending in the UK will be cut by £30b annually for the next 7 years (2010 - 2016) - the cut is enough for some nations to live on.

b) NASA has warned of a possible SOLAR STORM in 2013 - check the Internet and read up on this.

c) 58% of white evangelicals in the US believe that Jesus will return before 2050.

d) In Massachusetts (USA) 1st Graders (children age 5 - 7) are allowed to have condom without parental consent.

e) In the US, it is reported that nearly $1B tax Dollar funds abortion.

Beloved, my take on it is that 'LEAN times must NOT be MEAN times.  As God forces humanity to redefine the image of PROSPERITY:

a)  we must be fervent in spirit serving the Lord  - our obedience must be prompt not delayed.
b) we must challenge one another to live right
c) we must refuse to be 'conditioned' by ungodliness and fear
d) Prosperity will give way to PRIORITIES - may God help us to make the right decisions in Jesus name.

Daily declare "Our sufficiency is of God" and "our Dependency is on Him".

He holds the whole world in His hands and beneath are the everlasting arms.

True Love

Beloved,

I am amazed at how fast the year 2010 seems to be 'flying past'.  Hope you are conscious of what is happening around you.  Don't just watch.  Believers are called to 'watch unto prayer'.

The Lord has helped us to start a Prayer Clock in Word Fountain to ensure that people are praying around the clock to the glory of the Living God. Everyone can sign on. We are also opportuned to hear and share some wonderful testimonies even though the 'battle is still on' but we are encouraged by the Spirit of God who leads us in triumphant procession!

We have also been opportuned to move our community-link project forward.  Family Arena keeps gathering momentum and by God's grace, it will be fruitful in Jesus' name.

As the world focuses on the issues of love this weekend, I pray that you will consider the most precious Love Verses in the Bible -

John 3:16 and 1 John 3:16 (Please read and meditate).

They teach me how to translate the love that I receive from God by letting it flow to the brethren. Awesome!

If you find me unlovable, pray for me.  It may be that I may be deficient in receiving divine love (vice versa)! Pray that the love of God will be shed abroad in my heart.

Beloved, lay hold on eternal Love today and share the fruit of it to others. Be a fruitful vine.

Perfect love casts out fear.

God bless.

Thy Kingdom Come!

Beloved,

HAPPY NEW YEAR/DECADE to you and all yours in Jesus' name!

We are in a significant moment in human history.  The Bible is coming alive yet again.  The kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdom of our God!
By God's grace, my focus this year is the prayer of Our Lord Jesus Christ ''Thy Kingdom Come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven' (Mt 6:10).

Since this alarm was set in my heart and the trumpet blown on December 31st 2009, I can not but see everything in the light of God's Kingdom principles. Sometimes, I am short of words in expressing what is impressed in my heart. I am driven to my knees to pray and to His word to learn. It has a sharpening edge! I hope you feel the same.

God is seeking for people who will choose to win on earth because they understand the principles of His Kingdom and are willing to give expression to what the Holy Spirit and the Word of God has revealed (or is revealing) to them in spite of contrary evidence.

Our relationships, health, wealth, etc. can benefit from this approach this year and till Christ comes! I am not rehearsing the theories about the Kingdom but a fresh call for every believer to get back into the Word and by the help of the Holy Spirit, teach and train themselves for 'Kingdom size' lifestyle.

I have come to realise that on many occasions when believers complain of 'failure'. It is our expectations based on human traditions that fail and not our expectations based on the infallible Word of God.

My daughter used an expression during the holidays that my husband and I agree to "Every man/woman is a slave to his/her own ignorance".

Refuse to live in your own little world of the traditions of men. Step up your knowledge of the Kingdom so that when you pray "Thy Kingdom Come" - you have an understanding of what you are asking for.

You can be assured that God's Kingdom is a victorious Kingdom. We are in the era when every ungodly king/man will repeat the witness of Darius in Daniel 6:25 - 27 (NIV)

"Then King Dairus wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land: I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. For He is the living God and endures for ever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues, he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."

Let the 'Daniels' of this generation rise up!

By God's grace, the media team of Word Fountain are also uploading some recorded messages for the benefit of your spirit, soul and body http://www.wordfountain.org/.

Christ is the essence of life!

God bless

Jehovah Has Remembered!

I sent the message below as a text to friends and family members on Dec 24th. I pray it blesses someone reading the blog too. I also recommend that you download and listen to the message 'Christmas is not Yet Over' on mps or iTunes  .

Beloved, the name Zecharias means 'Jehovah has remembered'. Bearing in mind that

God had been silent in Israel for about 400 years, the angelic visitation to

Zecharias was to break the silence. In spite of unbelief, he brought forth John

which means 'Jehovah is gracious'! This was quickly followed by the visitation

of Mary and the promise of the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to bring forth our

Lord Jesus Christ! Do you feel that God has been silent on your case? Read Luke

chapters 1&2. God blesses faith and judges unbelief. Draw inspirations, make

prophetic declarations, accept God's visitation and experience God's glad

tidings of great joy. It is not about food and clothes, it is about Divine

visitation and a New beginning for humanity. Participate in the good will that

is available to all men. Merry Christmas and a Glorious New Year! Love from

Bode, Dupe & family - Word Fountain Christian Ministries.

Count Down to 2010!

Beloved,
The count down to 2010 began on January 1st 2009! God has been waiting on you and I to finish 2009 victorious in spite of all that the devil would hurl at us in form of human opinion, judgements, criticisms, hostilities, either justifiably or not.
He counted the cost of our weaknesses, errors of judgement, high expectations and imperfections. Yet, in His infinite wisdom and mercy concluded that for as long as you and I do not give up, we can be empowered to finish the first decade of the 21st century and be ushered gloriously into the second decade!

To Him be all the glory!

My heart re-echoes Rev 1:16-19! (Please read). Laying emphasis on verse 17. It is important that we see Him as we seek Him! Avoid distractions. You must separate His voice from the noise around. Put on your spiritual filters. We all need to hear Him saying 'Fear not, I am the first and the last'.

That puts us in a state of readiness to embrace the first second of 2010.

Have you been stabbed by words of men, pick yourself up by the word of the Lord! Heaven and earth may pass away but not a jot of His word will pass away unfulfilled.

With the seven stars in His hands and the two-edge sword in His mouth, His countenance is as the sun shinning in its strength! May this be the light on your path in 2010.
I love you dearly. Thank you for the part you have played in my life. God has mixed it all up and the conclusion is that it is all working together for good. Rom 8:28. I pray that this is your testimony too.

When you consider my contributions to your life, please pardon my omissions. There is no place for them in your life in 2010 because God will fill every void if you allow Him. He will level the mountains you submit to Him and the crooked paths shall be straightened in Jesus name. Read Ps 119:57-64. Your walk with God will make the difference and your profiting will appear to all.

The thoughts below blessed me. I hope you agree. Having reviewed 2009 in the light of the scriptures, one thing that believers need to be better at is Silence. Indeed, 'silence is golden'.

I look forward to seeing you at the night vigil if you are with Word Fountain or in 2010 by God's grace starting with Open Gates!

God bless

"Silence is one of the deepest disciplines of the Spirit simply because it puts the stopper on all self-justification. One of the fruits of silence is the freedom to let God be our justifier. We don't need to straighten others out."

Welcome The Month of Consolidation!

Beloved,

Compliments of the season! Welcome to the month of December 2009!  The year the Lord ushered you in by His grace and mercy to make room for you and for you to be fruitful (Gen 26:22). How has the journey been so far?

To the glory of God we have had clear victories in many areas and there are still areas of expectations in Jesus' name.  I will not deny the fact that there were some experiences that were disappointing but we can not attribute failure to this year!  We know that all things are working together for our good!

The remaining 30 -31days are for consolidation. I have just revisited the experience of Isaac at Gerar again.  He was not discouraged by the quarells of the herdsmen of Gerar.  Are you discouraged by some of the challenges you have faced this year?  Thank God you are an overcomer! Isaac's servants kept on digging until he got to Rehoboth and after he dug the well they could not fight for, he went up to Beersheba where God met with him that night to consolidate at least three things in his life and future (gen 26:24):

a) "I am the God of your father Abraham" - Are you not glad that your faith has root and fruits.  God that was with Abraham is the God of Isaac.  Not only was Isaac a natural descendant of Abraham, he is also a partaker of the covenant!

b) "Do not be afraid for I am with you" - For all the troubles and quarells that Isaac suffered in the hands of the herdsmen of Gerah, Isaac had reasons to be afraid.  However, God reassured him of His Divine presence.  Beloved, be encouraged as you acknowledge God's presence for the rest of the year and the future ahead.

c) "I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham" - God will never run out of blessings! Even in the last month of 2009, expect to be blessed and be a blessing yourself! God's ability to update your expectation and upgrade your capacity for exploits is never in doubt.

As we invest this month in focused prayer and fasting, be expectant.  Let go of your fears, anxieties and doubts.  Trust God and lean on Him.  Challenge yourself to a closer and deeper walk with God.  Do not be distracted by the commercial hustle around you.  Secure the rest of the year and your future in God.

Join us at Word Fountain Christian Ministries for the following End of Yer Engagements:
a) 31 days fasting and prayer (December 1st - 31st) which dovetails into the 50-day Global fast that started on November 22nd - January 10th by God's grace.
b) December 20th -11am - 2pm - Annual Love Feast - Theme: 'God Among Us'
c) December 31st - 10pm - 2am - Night Vigil - Theme - 'Thy Kingdom Come'.

We look forward to having you and God bless.
